BEAR AT PLANET ORGANIC, BIO BODY FUEL - VEGAN POWER

BEAR, THE NOT SO MYSTERIOUS SHOPPER!

#Vegan #Veganism #Organic #Planet #PlanetOrganic #OrganicFood #weight #loss #weightloss #worms #mealworms

Hi, Vegan and non-Vegan Friends! I am Blue Bear Gene! My Friends call me "Bear". I am a Born Again Vegan! Whoop whoop! It is great to be back! I am eating well and feeling better than ever! Here I am, I am here and sharing my experiences with YOU!

PLANET ORGANIC

London... Wow... What can I say about London that you don't already know, huh? I have left it a couple of times to experience new cities in new countries. Interesting stuff... Hmmm... But I have always missed living in London. London is quite unique; sure, compared to Germany, for example, I think that London has a way to go. The one thing that I didn't miss about London when I was away is the pollution. I may as well take up smoking a freaking car! It's ironic that London should have a high concentration of health food shops! Probably the most in the UK! I shudder to think what gets inside my lungs and on my skin just travelling 30 mins in the area where I live let alone taking a bit of a trek to Central London!

One of my favourite health food shops is Planet Organic. Whenever I am in Central London I have to stop in at Planet Organic to refuel! Bio Body Fuel! They have some great Vegan food! The prices are pretty reasonable! You should try the Vegan "Bulletproof" coffee! It is lovely! Although Planet Organic is not strictly Vegan, there is a wide selection of Vegan-friendly products to enjoy!

I travel on the bus as I love looking at the scenery; I don't know why I travel with so many magazines in my backpack as I seldom read them, I am so busy looking out the window. I hate the frenetic London Underground - it really is a Tube! The Tube can get really stressful! Anyway, if I am coming into Central London via Finsbury Park or via a walk from London Bridge into the Oxford Circus area, I have to get something to munch on! Oh, if I stop off at the famous Camden Town I would walk into Central London from there!

At the moment I am into Vegan protein and non-protein based bars as I am, er, test marketing! Or should that be "taste-marketing"? Anyway, I am on a personal mission... Hush, hush... I hope to reveal all at some point.

I love to go upstairs and take the weight off...

WEIGHT LOSS

From January to August 2016, I was struggling with my weight! I As I stated in a previous blog, I was in agony from the pain in my feet. So, I decided to ditch the meat and eggs once and for all. I was never into cows milk and dairy anyway. I decided to clean up my act, eat as clean as possible and join the gym. I say "eat as clean as possible" because I would ideally like to buy organic each and every time! However, the last time I was considering organic broccoli I had to take into consideration the parasitic infestation! The thought of inadvertently munching on some kind of worm strain was a bit much...

You can't really beat eating Vegan and exercise for natural weight loss. In the picture below you can see that I have lost a bit of weight in my face. I must admit that I have been pretty busy these last couple of months and I've not been to the gym in while... I need to get back in there asap!

A PACKET OF WORMS

How do you feel as a Vegan about insects as food? I once had the idea to cook with insects but now that I am a Born Again Vegan the thought has left my mind. I was once obsessed with getting a good source of protein and I realized that there's enough protein in good vegetables such as broccoli! I was watching this program on Sky (a few years ago), when I had cable, and it featured a trend to serve up insects and grubs in South African restaurants... It did look like a challenge that I was curious to take. However, today, I am totally against taking any form of life for my sustenance - especially when it is not necessary! It does make me wonder as to our drinking water that comes from the tap! I wonder how many lifeforms are in a single class when put under the microscope...

Hmm... I think I will invest in a chemistry set (for adults) - I am sure I have seen such chemistry sets in the shops (admittedly, many Moons ago).

VEGAN CHEF/COOK

I am still preparing myself to be a Vegan Chef/Cook. As much as I love working on the PC in the name of Graphic & Multimedia Design and Social Media Marketing, I am bored of the isolation this type of work can bring. I am also wary that some of the companies that I work with aren't geared towards ethical living. This year, I am looking to change my life completely! I want to earn a living from an industry that isn't exploitative - in a negative way. It is remarkable how manufacturers seemed programmed to do whatever it is they do even though it is ruining this beautiful Earth. Rather than have a rethink, they go to the next batch of undamaged land to do ravage it like the last batch. We are running out of time!

I am constantly thinking up ways to promote ethical living. I want to use my skills in IT, Creative IT (Graphic/Multimedia Design) to promote ethical living. I want to combine career as a Vegan Chef/Cook with Creative Design & Marketing! There has gotta be a job like that out there for me! I can feel it somehow! Ask the Universe and it shall be given! Well, I am asking!

Thank you for reading!

XMAS PUDDING, BIO BODY FUEL

BEAR GENE'S BIO BODY FUEL - VEGAN POWER

BEAR'S VEGAN XMAS PUDDING

Hey, Vegan Friends! It is wonderful to see you as always! I hope that all is well with you and yours! This is just a quickie...

As you may know, if you are a following my blog, I have embarked upon a journey to change my vocation from being a Graphic & Multimedia Designer to a Vegan Chef/Cook. Last Xmas, I was able to make a few Xmas Puddings for family and friends! I used to make a healthier Xmas Pud way back... This time around I removed what I consider to be unnecessary elements such as bread and sugar. C'mon... If you, like me, have an allergy to wheat then you know how it makes your stomach feel. I wanted a bloat free Xmas and thought it would be a great idea to improve upon my wholemeal bread formula for something much better! But I didn't tell my family and friends anything... You know what non-Vegan's can be like, right? LMAO!

The feedback I received was great! Very, very encouraging! So, with a bit of good fortune, I will be able to concentrate on Vegan cooking come the end of April the latest! That's the time-frame I am working towards. I am not going to hang up my mouse for good. Oh, that didn't come across right... I meant my PC mouse! No rodents were hurt in writing this blog! I still enjoy computing and using the PC to be creative. I just think it is time to get out and be a part of a team again! I am so looking forward to starting my new job!

Already, I am thinking about ways in which to improve upon my Vegan Xmas Pudding! I reckon I can sell a few in due course... Cool! Well, I have quite a way to go but the most important thing is to take the first step and enjoy the journey!

Thank you for reading! Your support is invaluable!

Lots of love,

BEAR IS CERTIFIED BIO BODY FUEL VEGAN POWER

BEAR GENE'S BIO BODY FUEL - VEGAN POWER

Certified!

Hi, Vegan and non Vegan Friends! Hey, it's your Vegan pal, Bear! How are you doing? I hope you are well and dandy!

ONE STEP CLOSER

Yes, I have done it! I have passed my Level 2 in Food Safety and Catering! I feel that I am one step closer to attaining my goal to be a Vegan Chef/Cook by the end of April the latest. The Food Safety and Hygiene was just a day out of a 2-week course in Hospitality - including the exam!

It took a while, but I have gained my certificate that's sitting proudly on my mantelpiece!

THE NEXT STEP
It won't be long before I start approaching my list of Vegan eateries in and around London! I am excited at the prospect of changing my vocation. I have become a little jaded with my current profession as a Graphics and Multimedia Designer. I like the idea of working in a team - miss the camaraderie that comes with working with people. This one man and his machine has gotten a little stagnant. Besides, today's consumer level applications for all things design and multimedia has made my job a little more difficult. Anyone can purchase a web design software and call themselves a web designer. Well, it's more involved than that but I think I have just about enough of people and their horrible design ideas that they want me to execute. Not only is design software cheap nowadays, you've got online web editors like Wix!

I don't think I am going to miss being a Graphic & Multimedia Designer very much. I will be putting my talents to better use in my own projects that I have lined up! The first project will be my Bio Body Fuel Vegan protein bars.

THE FUTURE IS LOOKING ROSY
It is great to feel that hunger in the belly once again! I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am to be embarking upon this new journey that I am taking. I was a Salad Chef many Moons ago in the heart of London, Covent Garden; it was a great experience. I had it in mind that cooking would be a stepping stone towards my initial goal of being a musician. Oddly enough, when I wasn't performing any gigs and/or recording in the studio, I used to do cooking jobs here and there to make end meet. When I lived in Germany, the Fatherland of Electronic Music, I had a job as a baker for a brief period. I was quite good at baking. I baked proper German wholemeal bread; the kind that you could smash windows with! I can still remember some of the bread: Roggenvollkornbrot; Dreikornbrot and Walnussbrot. Incidentally, the bakery that I worked for, based in Mainz, was part of a health food shop. The bakery was situated at the back and the health food shop was out the front.

I guess I am coming around full circle.

Thank you for reading!
